It is worth the "look" just Not with a higher output system...IMHO
Oh... And be damn sure you get/keep the regulator grounded...

Absolutely.. If kept clean and tight ... they usually do Not burn... Good Point
Some folks actually solder the connections... I use a system that puts pressure on the plug outside at the connection to hold the darn thing...
Thinking H-D had a Spring wire lookin thingy for just that job... But...CRS

i had a bad plug and my hd mech soldered the conections

Update, I got a refund on the new regulator and bought another one and it works, It to had only three wires to the plug and three metal contacts in side like the first one but it works, on a four pin stator. huh.
