I concur with the test method...Bad Battery...some last years, some Days... All seem to be Crap...especially the Chiwanese ones.
I have one company, I suspect peddaling chiwanese batteries, that I use tho..
AGM battery for about $60... all from them have lasted minimum 3 years... sure it aint much, but...Zero Care...and Zero worries.. I will keep using them.
Otherwise, in a Bike like the Indian ThunderStroke, where the Battery mounting is so utterly Stupid!!! I use Dekka... Damn the Price.

One last aside... If you go Yuasa (you probably are anyway and it just says something else on the case) note that the country of origin is also stamped on the case.
Taiwan...last one day at the Dragstrip, Japan, last a couple weekends at the Strip. USA.. couple Years!!! all priced the Same...

When I was shopping for my battery, it said that the Yuasa batteries for FXE Superglides were all made in China; almost all other sizes were made in the USA. My old lead acid battery was a Yuasa made in USA. The Die Hards were China made at that time too, and they were available locally. I wish I could have found a made in USA Yuasa last year.
ETA: That old lead acid Yuasa battery is 6 years old and although it lacked CCA to reliably start my 1984 FXEF, it is still starting my neighbor's lawn tractor.

^^^ But... In todays world... There is No Room for conventional Flooded cell Batteries.. AGM only for me... again, even some Chiwanese will function..

BTW Only the 310CCA AGM is any good.. ignore the rest!!!!

To the OP. Glad you got a new battery and the issue is resolved. My answer was because too many assume it is the battery and go on this happened or that happened. Charging system, starting issues, and electrical issues can at times be too deep to give the obvious answer without further checks. Sure as I read your initial post and said your battery is bad, someone would have posted long explanations on why I was wrong.
Same as I just swapped handlebars, did everything right and now it won't start.

I'm not sure if the batteries we buy for bikes are made in a way that considers the shaking and heat they are exposed to any more.
If a battery is made for average service they probably won't last. If the manufacture takes short cuts or doesn't consider how it will be used.
Someone said it's amazing how a company can always find a way to make something cheaper. I think batteries fall in there.
Large capacitors have poor failure rates for the last 15 years or so. They keep getting smaller and that seems to what they have in common
with failure other where they are made. The last battery JP sent me was made in Nam.
When a battery fails it's understandable to try to find something other than the battery. Especially if it's fairly new.

New AGM battery in my '72 FLH lasted less than one year. Reputable brand too. Measured 12.8 volts static and wouldn't turn over the motor. Dropped to <6 volts trying to start. If I boosted it with a car charger, showed 13.7 volts with the motor running.
Had it on tender full time when not in use. Just crap quality.... that's all. New AGM battery - so far, so good.
