Contemplating selling the shovelhead, what is it worth?
Wanna sell but lost on where to start. Its a 1979 80ci shovel in a paughco frame. Motor is freshly rebuilt with 500 miles, s&s shorty e carb, gma brakes front and back. It also has kickstart and electric start, rear turn signals.. I also have the original flh frame and swingarm. Vin on motor, original flh frame matches the title. The paughco frame has a mso certificate for it. Reason for selling.....too many bikes and I like touring. Video attached

it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay depending on where you are also matters, here in the UK you might get Ł9k ($10150) for it, but in some States as low as $5-6k...
Jersey maybe 7 to 8 right 35 to 45 year old - its a nice clean piece but a much smaller group looking for that unless it has a pan or knuckle - some chase flat side shovels but cone wont bring real money today
Who built the bike, you or did someone else? Did you buy it complete or have it done? The builder will make a difference.
It’s a specialty build that will appeal to some but setting a price is hard. Here in Florida probably around 12k but that depends on the city. I don’t know the market in Iowa.

The bike was originally built in early 2000 by Seber's Cycles in Leavenworth, KS. Bike was recently redone with new paint and motor gone through and rebuilt by Fagan Custom Cycles. Paint by Noel @ Off Axis paint. I'm actually in Illinois, I need to fix my profile from years ago. I was offered 10k and I haven't accepted it but it's still on the table
Man I like that bike. Except for those wide *** handlebars. Doesn't go with the flow of the bike. I would change that up.
Having the original fame and matching numbers is a plus.
I would pay 8K for that without blinking. If I was drinking I might pay a bit more. Last spring I believe it would have brought quite a bit more.
I would definitely be interested if I was still looking. Really like the look...
I like it and I get plenty of thumbs up and attention every time I ride it. But having having a 2011 rg with a 124 and a sportster 883 with a 1200 big bore. I have no time nor room for another bike especially, a hardtail it won't see a lot of road like the others
I’ve been pricing Shovelheads. I’m building one when I’m done the Cholo Softail. And I can tell ya. Prices are all over the map. There seems to be no rhyme or reason either. Obviously the all stock bikes are asking more. And I’ve seen choppers as high as 13k not as clean as that. And bone stock FLs for sub 10k. Like I said. No sense in the pricing. To me. Bone stock should always pull more money. But I agree. I’d have no trouble with 8k. To me it’s a risk. Soon as someone puts there hands in a motor I tend to be a bit gun shy. So I have to adjust the price to what I think I may have to put into it. 10k is not an insult IMO. But what do I know. Lol.

Have no clue what you have in it, but that's a damn solid offer.
Economy is tanking. Lots of toys will be sold I believe this winter. By spring I believe the market will be flooded with bikes, including Shovels, and the prices will be lower.
Sellers market is hanging on by it's toenails, but that's about to change.
