This 1984 FLH has been for sale in San Jose for months now. He recently dropped the price to $8750. I have almost bought it several times, but each time I stop myself. I keep telling myself I have basically the same bike but 1982 that I am going restore. And I got it because I need a project. But I know I cannot build mine for what this is going for. But dammn. Back and forth. I would pull the trunk and seat the first day.

I'd buy that dresser and just ride it. If it's truly as original and well preserved as it looks. The EPA air filter would have to go though. Even the old ham can looked better than that. If you're going to have Shovel heads, at let them be seen!

I totally agree, ya gotta see the motor !!
to the point i question why use 3.5 gal fat bob tanks ?.. the std ones are 3.5 galons but a Superglide Peanut is 3.4 galons, so only 1/10th of a galon less (about 4-5 miles less range),
but they show the motor off so well & i for one like to see the motors,
not a big gas tank without any useable extra capacity, fair enough if you need range & the extra range a set of 5 gal tanks give ya, otherwise, go skinny,.. hahahaha

So many bikes, so little time!

Yes, Borocilicate glass by Dow-Corning, an old boy by the name of RT from boonville Indianna used to make them up till he passed about 4 years ago,
A lovely bit of kit from a good old boy,
he also did screen printed pushrods with either skulls, flames or rings on them so when running ya see em moving, I got 'flames' hahahahaha

great for timing as you can see the front inlet tappet shut without getting oil everywhere....
