Need a solid guide on 80 fxs

I tried the tape, still have caliper rattle. It still feels loose at the pins, but the rotors are also old and could probably be replaced.
Also there is fluid leaking from the front brake master cylinder. I replaced the gasket, but it still leak.
Any suggestions on both those issues? After this the bike is good to go.

If you are lucky, the master cylinder bore is good and the seals can be replaced. But as old as it is, it may have wear that prevents the rubber from sealing. Only way to know is to take it apart and see.

Okay, so I'm probably looking at a master cylinder rebuild; About the brakes still chattering, the foam tape fix didn't help. The calipers move less sure but they still chatter whenever youre not on the front brakes. Am I looking at a whole front brake rebuild? Or is this something that maybe a new set of mounting pins and maybe some new pads will take care of?

Great idea, just found some NOS ones on ebay. I also ordered a master cylinder rebuild kit, new pads, caliper piston seals, rotors and caliper mounting bolts.
If this doesn't take care of everything and give me some nice crisp front brakes there's bigger issues! haha.
