Maybe someone can help here......... I'm searching for info' on this cool original 'Ol girl i just bought here in NZ.
Ive heard that someone, somewhere, has the factory build sheets and Dealer delivery info' for pre 1981 bikes, [HD US do not want to know].
True or False ?
Call the HD Museum (not the Factory) in Milwaukee, tell them you would like them to do a VIN search on your bike. It can be hit or miss depending on who answers the phone, if you get no help, try again the next day. The gave me everything I could ask for over the phone, others have gotten letters in the mail with the information, good luck.
Call Harley Cares (customer service) located on Juneau Ave: 800 258 2464. press 3, 7
Give them your VIN and they'll tell you the original color and what colors were available that year. They'll also tell you when it was built and what dealer first sold it. They may also have other information.
The 73-80 records are on Microfiche, 82-up is available to them electronically, so easier to get.

Because of the time difference i have emailed Customer care ,twice , but no reply . Looks like i'm going to have a late night/early morning on the phone LOL.

how cools that bike.nothing looks out of place. would be comfy to ride what model is it ?

Man when I was an employee I had access to all that stuff. I had every Parts and Service manual ever printed on Micro Fiche. Had to turn it all in when I left.
