Like it A LOT, cant say anything against them other than the price !!!, man that stung!!!,
but it works great and spins the motor over very fast, instant ignition & reliable,u
nlike the hodge podge factory starter, if i remember its a 2KW starter so real strong, it is well made & all went together well,
one thing to be aware of, is the transmission mounting plate, ... they don't tell you, but if your using one with the mount holes for a rear mount oil filter, you'll need to cut the rear of the plate or it interferes with the motor, or buy a short type trans mount plate,... other than that I think you'll like it, it also allowes the use of an open belt drive up to 3'' or even 4'' wide without any out rigger bearings for the starter support bush in the primary cover.

Then he could run one of those crazy cast brass pedals that would fit in with the styling of the bike.

Looking at this nice bike it looks like the exhaust pipe is up higher and in tighter and is smaller so the FL kicker clears the pipe. The FX with shorty pipes and mufflers I would think that one would need the shaft extension to get the FL kicker to work. The FL kicker on my FX with mufflers just barely hits. Probably be OK with drag pipes.

Magnum, Maybe you could build a custom one?

Those after market true dual header pipes with stock HD mufflers. Pipes are of unknown origin, came with the bike. Never tried to find stock, because then the pipe prevents the kicker. Found what I believe to be a late 60's kicker cover at a swap for $10, then Baker gears for inside (the second time). I believe the cover is later 60's because it does not have the allen head screw/fill line bolt. I have a real nice OEM arm and pedal, arm slightly hit the pipe on the way down. That arm is from W&W with a 1/2" offset, clears perfectly. Used the OEM pedal and all the hardware, blends in just fine.

One of these solves all kinds of kicker related issues, best thing I did for mine, push's the arm out 3/4' more .

Bad right hip forced me to sell my kick start dirt bike, I'd probably be in tears from pain trying to kick a big twin. Good looking bikes though ...

My XT 600 has a decompression built in to the kick starter ... Usually fires up quickly ... MY YZ490 can be a pain ( I's hard on kick starter springs too )

as no one here knew what the kicker was made from I went to Dave Batchlor of P&D customs in Slinfold West-Sussex UK with it, he told me they are Forged Steel not cast, and as such was easily bendable, he fired up his oxy acetaline there and then and in 10 minutes had a great 'S' bend in it bringing it inboard about 2 inches,
I ust tried it & it fits great and no longer prevents my leg fitting the forwards or when feet down at lights etc,
so remember for future information they are Forged, not cast steel & can be bent without cracking or snapping.
I need to strip the paint off and re-wrinkle black it & when done & fitted I'll post a picture, but heres a few as it is now
