You guys are the best! You have so much knowledge and are willing to share it and let me tell you it is appreciated! Now for the dumb question. The 73' Shovel does not have any mounts to mount a floorboard. I have figured out the front mounts are on the foot shifter mount and the rear brake mount. But there are no tabs for the rear. Can I use this go around with the pictures so I don't have to weld tabs on the frame. Don't want to ruin the custom paint that the previous owner put on it since I am trying to get it going in his memory. according to J&P these are them mounts I wat to use these to attach the mounts to the frame
Will footpeg mounts like these work? I have seen some oem mounting studs on Evil bay but wasn't sure about them.

Reason: better understanding
Complete brake side and shifter side assemblies from an '86-'99 FL Soft tail (Fatboy or Heritage) is nearly plug and play. They are nearly the same as stock Shovelhead except they have the rear board mount on the bracket instead of a frame tab or primary tab.
