Trying to mount Sidecar on Softail Custom
hey guys, i just picked up this california friendship 2 sidecar and am trying to mount it on my 89 softail custom so i can get my father back out on his harley. the seller told me it would mount to my bike as is, but i am not sure this is the case. (he had a 70s shovelhead).
here are a bunch of pics.
my main concern is the mount up by the seat. this has no real way to fit on my bike. this is my major problem and any help is greatly appreciated. i cant find pics of the correct mount for this bike to point me in the right direction..
second concern is the front bottom frame clamp mount by the foot controls. stuff i found online showed this mounting where my foreward controls are. i think i can adjust the sidecar pipes to move so i can mount this just behind them, where i am holding it in the pic.
last concern- is it normal to need to stretch the tube clamp mounts open to get it on the frame? mine have a ledge flaring in.
