Now that I read the article I see it may not be a Harley frame but I did see a pan in a softail frame last year on this site.

You forgot to mention how much you love your Twinkie.

I must be doing something wrong. I have two shovels that need attention this winter but my TWINKIE is ready to go.

Was thinking of trying this because it would be a more modern set up...suspension controls brakes five speed...whats your thoughts? Anybody attempted this? If so pics would be appreciated.
I have never heard of a Pre mid '90's Dyna...But...to answer that question...Yes it will go...No Problem...Evo does Not drop into 4-speed Shovel frame...but vice vers?? No Sweat!!

The issue with a Shovel in a Dyna chassis is the transmission and oil tank. Dyna's have a oil and transmission pan under the transmission. How does that work out with a Shovel motor? IDK but would need to be worked out. My understanding is that in the 90's they only mode one 80" Evo motor, so the factory was putting them in rigid mount Softails and rubber mount Dynas and Touring bikes. Leads me to think the motor should be able to be bolted up to the rubber mounts with some effort. The Shovel motor is shorter than an Evo, so it should fit in the frame. The transmission and oil pan become the issue, good luck.

I have seen Genny Shovels in Softail frames, much easier route. But would be cooler in the Dyna frame.
