Default fuel cap

i need the left hand fuel cap for my 80 lowrider as the seal has perished theres one on ebay item number184882316100 is this the one i need thanks

You can buy new seals for factory gas caps. The right cap usually quits venting is the worse thing; then I buy a new cap for that side. I keep a spare set of gaskets on hand but don't do you any good in Australia.

how do you replace the rubber seal the cap looks joined together with the seal in between

I thought you had bayonet style caps that year. It is a stretch but it goes on. If you have screw in caps, I am sorry for clouding the waters

The '80 LowRider does use the bayonet style caps. The left side is part #61103-73 (non-vented) with gasket #61116-65.

The eBay item number 184882316100, that he posted in his first post, claims to be a #61103-73 non-vented gas cap with the gasket.

well my mate said last night you can replace the rubber seal, its a tight fit
