Bike sat 8 years with a 3 year old front tire with about 20K on it. When I was back, I ran it probably 4000 in the summer before I changed it. Minimal cracking but pretty old

These are what I run on my 2012 FXDC. So far my favorite tire across 3 different bikes.

I gota call BS on this. Never in my life have I got more than about 8K out of a rear or about 10-12 out of a front and I am **** about checking my air pressure. And I've run Dunlop 402s,Elite 4s, and American Elites.
I had a Stinko on the back of my 2013 RK (came on the bike) and it was great, lots of grip. My 72 FX has them as well for the period look (they were on the bike when I bought it). Based on how inadequate the bike handles with toothpicks for forks and questionable braking these tires will be more than good enough until its time to replace them.
