I'm looking to put a zirc grease fitting in my frame for a seat post, if you have a fl that has had (or has) a seat post, I'm looking for the location of said fitting.
Need to be sure the bushing will have proper alignment for lubing the shaft on my FXE.
TIA

Original its on the right side about 6 inches down from the top - looking in the seat tube you can see a spot that works - 3/8X32 thread tap and the original grease fitting is short threaded
to grease it you need to be out of the way of the rear exhaust pipe and not at angle to the oil tank or if its a early pan the external filter and oil lines so you can grease it once a year

Magnum45Pete, we Yanks are not shy about calling a nipple a nipple when it is a nipple. A Tit is a nipple and a short length of threaded pipe is a nipple. A grease fitting is properly called a Zirc Fitting.
I was once on a cultural exchange with the British 2d Paras. The company commander one morning said in his proper English accent: It cant be the same language, it cant.
I would say it's more of a male/female coupling, so "nipple" wouldn't be correct, a "small *****" would be more correct unless of course the grease gun was referred to as a "child", but it generally isn't. For a "nipple" and a "female" end to properly attach it would take the ever so popular "lesbian connection" which in itself would not tranfere any of the necessary lubricative qualities of the seat post movement.
