S&S Air Cleaner On CV Carb

Default S&S Air Cleaner On CV Carb

I just purchased this 1976 FXE that currently has a CV carb installed with an unknown air cleaner assembly mounted. The bike came with an S&S air cleaner/backplate setup that I'd like to mount but the holes don't line up. Will this product below from Lowbrow Customs allow me to do that? Will the cover stick out much further? Will the S&S cover affect how the bike runs as the "point" inside the cover is shaped differently than the current one? Left a message with Lowbrow but not hearing back. Thanks!

They've always called me back but it takes a while. Todd at Lowbrow is a good good dude.

Yes, how long does it typically take them to respond? I also sent an email with pictures.

Years ago, I had an S&S (I think it was a "D") air cleaner on my CV carb. All the holes lined up.
Gave it away to someone here on the forum.

I run an S&S Air Cleaner on a CV Carb and I did the mods to the carb and backplate myself. It's ugly but it works and nobody can see it.
