Default 1977 FXE

Here is what I am working with to start the build. I will weld on a suspension because the Houston area's roadways can be rough.

Sell the Haifley "stuff" get enough to buy a Complete frame...Put your Neck with Numbers on It!!
Best course IMO

As Racepres said, or , what I used to do when I had that situation was take it to a local guy who built frames (stockers and chops) and get him to weld on his rear vertical section that were all steel. He'd get them all squared up too.

If Titled .. it helps but..Like Building Anything from Scratch...the parts add up to more than the Complete package...Always..

Unless you are going Johnny Cash style, you will spend more on this than it would to buy a complete basket case or a complete bike that needs work.

What year did the FXE get rid of the right side floorboard, footpeg, rear brake master cylinder bracket?

Late 1980's ...very much toward the end...like loosing the "mount" for forwards on the right side!!!
if earlier..it was Common for Users to eliminate that board Mount!!
