just checked the plugs in mine and the new ones not installed yet, just spares both sets from my hd mech ngk bpr5es. a mc mech mate of mine said he would never use champion in bikes

Nothing at all wrong with Champions of Old.. especially the ones that say H-D on them!!!!
But, like you, I noticed they are No Longer a very good choice...
For Me, the old Champions were the very Most Likely to recover from "wet fouling"..while NGK's were the Worst..Wet fouled NGK's got the "can"!!

my bike has been performing well on the champions.... cold starts, hot starts has all been a one push of the button, cruises along at 65mph... open the throttle to overtake and its been very responsive ,hits 80mph before you know it (ooops better slow down before something falls off) I did a 500 mile round trip out to Forbes in western NSW... ahhh the smell of freshly cut lucern in the paddocks......never missed a beat
