FLH Battery
84 Shovelhead FLH. It has the big battery box. Right now it has one of the old style lead acid batteries in it.
The bike has a s&s 93 kit on it and a ultima ignition.
Would I better off with a newer style battery? Can you get a agm type that is the same dimensions?

This is confusing. On jp cycles they say this one fits 1980-1996 so shovelheads and evos? Not sure if that fitment chart is correct on this one.

When I first got my shovel it had bad wiring issues. I took my battery in to the dealership to have them test it (they do this for free, believe it or else) and the guy says, "What the hell did that thing come out of"? Turns out the battery was good. I was sort of hoping it was bad thinking a new one would end my troubles.
Anyway, next time I need a battery I should get one of those AGM ones. I think the last time I looked, I couldn't find one but that was quite a ways back.
