Sometimes I do things I shouldn't
My local indy did me a good deal on a used 96-on master cylinder, freshly honed and supplied with a rebuild kit for me to fit and I had a new chrome lever on the shelf.
Later master cylinders don't fit the early switch blocks but because I run a hydraulic brake light switch, I was able to cut the brake switch paddle off the lever, take the original switch out of the switch block, and take a file to the boss where my original brake light switch button protruded and massage the upper part of the pivot body with a Dremel and Lo and Behold....butchery!
It fits, it works very well, and no animals or children were harmed during the conversion.
Now to tidy it all up and repaint the m/c.
