Default 1976 fxe update

Well it took a bit but thanks for everyone’s help. I not have added the electric start back to this bike. I used the forum to wire it and prevent run on.

The bike fired right up after being shoved in a corner for 16 years. Now tires, grease bearings, master cylinders, fork seals, and miscellaneous.

Question I’m sure the fork springs are original. Should I replace them when I do the fork seals?

Yes, you will find that 50 yr old springs are shorter than new replacements

All kidding aside, just ride it for the rest of the season. You'll know what it needs by then.

Great advice

I discovered that mine, built in 1980, when AMF was on a budget, still has many better parts than those offered in the various catalogs.
