Default Oil Sludge
Pulled the plug from my oil bag the other day and I noticed some sludge attracted to the magnet end of the drain plug. No much - maybe about the size of a corn kernel. First time I've noticed it but didn't see anything scary drain out of the bag when I pulled the plug. It just all stuck to the magnet. Sticky consistency, like runny peanut butter.

Should I be concerned? Motor is an '84.

Clean it off, change the oil and clean out the tank while the oil is out of it. My Shovel was like this, and I did all that and the oil stays clean now.

clean out the bag and put fresh oil in and go my 81 has **** on the magenta every time it's called ware and old age

I have been on motorcycles since 1962 and I have yet to see one with paper, canvas or plastic for an oil tank. Never saw that...

Yeah, but it`s cool to say oil bag...

My `73 Suzuki GT750 had a plastic oil tank...

Brand new bag tho - maybe only 500 miles on it. I'll take a look further.

I'm running a Paughco aftermarket horseshoe. The drain plug has a magnet end.
