Default Frame mod required for stroker

Hey guys, I'm wondering what has to be done to a stock FX or FXR frame to accomodate a shovel stroker.

Apparently S&S's 103 shovel is 0.3" taller than stock. Could someone please tell me what has to be done to these 2 frames for this engine to fit?

Thanks a lot -

John

My shovel has the S&S 93" and a Mid-Western stock replacement frame. The engine just did fit. We put the motor in from the right side and scratch the paint real good on the right down tube, seat post and top tubeabovethe back head. Dry fitting before paint with the assembled engine is really the only way to see where it will touch. Then you have to deside if you're going with a big hammer or notch and weld the problem areas.

You might want to contact S&S' tech support (608-627-8324). You will have to have the patience of a saint 'cause you'll get put on hold with the muzak playing(not too bad tunes, however) for what seem to be eternity! But once you get through to their techs, they are highly knowledgable and helpful. And you can call them back with follow-up questions.
