I have a 82 FLTC Shovelhead, it has a chain oiler and \\;enclosure (for lack of knowledge on what it is called). My question is does anyone know if there is a kit or something that would allow \\;me to remove this chain \\;oiler enclosure?
Thanks in advance!
I also have a '82 FLTC. I have thought about getting rid of the enclosed chain too, but have had other mods that were higher on my list. That is until I have to change a back tire and i cuss the whole time I am in there.

The biggest problem that I see with it is the primary. \\;You would have to \\;go to a dry clutch/primary set up, figure out a way to tighten the holes up, or change the primary all together.
 \\;
So, instead of all that, I looped the oil input so it is self contained and am just rolling with it.
Thanx John,
 \\;
Yes, it had that god-awful fairing and the flat side tank. To top it off, it was cream and babyshit brown....
 \\;
Now I am running a '96 RK tank and nacelle and \\; '01 FLHT forks, brakes and rim. The tank and fairing were done by the guy that had it before me, so I cannot speak on the ease of the mod. \\; Here is a link that has some better pics. https://www.hdforums.com/m_3075697/m...tm.htm#3075767

I would love to see some pics of yours. I also have a parts catalog if you ever need a part number, lemme know.
that cool gator! I love the bike. I just can't believe it used to be a Tour glide like mine. Mine is the tan and cream color too. I found the right person for sure. I would like any and all \\;info you can give me to make my bike like yours. Mine is all stock right now.
There is a guy here in town that has one. He has just the fairing off of it. He got a nacelle off eBay and left the old tank and the gauges on the barThe wiring was a major issue. The guy that did mine just "twisted and taped" everything... it was a mess! I ended up replacing the whole harness because it was such a butcher job.
