I don't know what your term refurb covers. These are items I used for
a 1980. Some of the tools I think you will need.

1&nbsp\\; Jamb bars, and chain locks for the primary chain, and drive chain.
2&nbsp\\; Special socket needed to remove, and torque the trans nut holding the chain drive
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; sprocket to the transmission.
3&nbsp\\; A 1/2" 2 foot&nbsp\\; bar to remove the compensator nut&nbsp\\; on primary chain.
4&nbsp\\; I&nbsp\\; also had to have a 2' extension for the&nbsp\\; 2'&nbsp\\; bar.&nbsp\\;
5&nbsp\\; Check on a&nbsp\\; removal of front forks
6&nbsp\\; Torque wrench
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; There are other tools I just made. These would be for removal and installation of
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; bearings races seals. There are others here much more knowledgeable than I am.
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; They will probably have a lot to add. Good Luck.&nbsp\\;

A bike jack is indispensable
Be organized: I use those big plastic totes, zip locks, and smaller container for small parts make lots of note and take pictures throughout your build.

you have to make up a bent 9/16" box wrench, bend it in a "U", 12 point wrench, you need that for head bolts

I am going to try to minimalize the engine work.&nbsp\\; However, I do wish to repaint and repowdercoat the engine.&nbsp\\; I am unsure how much engine work I will need to do to have the engine powdercoated.
Thanks for your help on the tools.

If it works on these bikes (and I hope it does), the Craftsman motorcycle/atv jack is one of the best accessories I've ever bought for my bike.

H D black wrinkle paint is what i used on the cylinders, heads, and rocker boxes. may want to practice on a scrap piece of metal first.

then keep it looking new with S-100 engine brightener
