back brake light switch mount???

Default back brake light switch mount???

Where the hell does the Back Brake light switch mount on a 78 FXS. Im just about finished with her and this is just annoying me to death. any help or pics would be great thanks in advance.

If I remember right. On my 79FXS, the rear brake line ran back to a T fitting mounted to the rear of the transmission plate. One of the plate hold down bolts also held the T bracket ( retangular piece that had two holes )and the T fitting was conected to that. A metal line than ran to the master cylinder and the third hole was for the brake switch.

That sounds correct.
if you are re plumbing the brake lines it could really go about any where so long as its between the master cylinder and rear brake away from the exhaust and out of the way so it won't get damaged.

I mounted mine on the tee right below the oil pump. I just picked a point out of the way and put it in. For all practical purposes, you could put it anywhere you can tap the hydraulic line. Ken
