78 fxe inner primary
Hi, having trouble finding a inner primary case for my 78 fxe superglide. I have found some but they are just as bad or worse than mine but I found a new flh inner primary case and was wondering if that would fit. the only difference I can see is the flh dose'nt have the whole in side for the shift linkage arm to go through. thats fine with me because I'm putting forward controls on it and converting it to a closed primary less wholes to plug.
Will the mounting wholes line up.
found one on ebay new want to know if it fits before i purchase it.

If you don't need the through the cover shift linkage the FLH primary will fit. That is the only difference between the two. Just get one that matches your starter housing. That is, get one for a 81 and earlier model.
