You are "supposed" to hook up your breather to the carb backplate to recurculate your crankcase gasses back through the motor to be burned. I wouldn't do it due to the fact that the shovel will puke oil into the carb foul things up, leak oil all over the motor and clog the air filter.

I don't like the vent line hooked up to the air cleaner Can be a mess oil soaked air filter etc etc I use a Unifilter 3/8 hose connection and run it down low If a bike sits long enough the tank oil will migrate to the bottom end and when started up the oil has to get out I have put vice grip pliers on the oil feed hose from the oil tank to the oil pump feed This does stop the oil migration BUT The pliers should be painted bright yellow just so you remember to get the pliers off before you start the bike ! duh

Just a follow up i have hooked up the vent line to the air cleaner but i put a drain **** in at the low point with the idea when i see oil at the carb i will drain the tube
You have to understand i am **** about oil leaks and take great pride when someone says you must be out of oil your shovel is not leaking i know it can be done
