In general, raked trees are to correct the trail on a bike that has had the frame raked. They have been used by the MoCo on certain models to get the trail dimension to where they wanted. Using them may cause no problems, as long as the decreased trail remains in the region required for stability. If that trail dimension gets too small, then you are looking at a high speed tank-slapper of a wobble. And you may ride a long time before having one set off by a particular set of riding circumstances. Do your homework and determine the trail before going this route. I can speak from experience that a tank slapper does little more than cause you to suck the ***-seam of your jeans so far up into your rectum that you won't need to wipe for 90 days. And that's if you're lucky.
