You can snap an E series.
Do not listen.
The response of a cv is indeed(or can be) very good, but you can get response from an E as well.
I have no idea why people say things like that.
What exhaust pipes do you have?
Are they drags, without baffles?

Check your timing, check for intake leaks. Before you start changing jets you want to rule out everything else...or it could be a frustrating time once you start.

People often put old equipt back on bikes when they sell them. They could get $$ for the new stuff or use it on future bikes. So, your set-up could be wrong for the jetting. I don't have much exper. with the S&S carbs...so, I can't suggest the jet size. I'd still recommend XEA or FX at J&P Form for that info because you aren't getting a lot of response here. They will need to know the pipes, baffles, mufflers...and any other set-up info you may have to narrow down the jet sizes (you said stoker...cams?)...then get a small inventory of sizes and try them out and see how it runs.

Just an after thought...have you been riding it...or just running the motor? you said it runs fine when you roll the throttle...is that cruising?

drag pipes no baffles, when i changed the ignition i messed with the timing and it didnt seem to change the original problem, but ill try again this weekend. i dont have any info on the cams in it. its on the road but hasnt made it more then a couple runs around the block and it has this problem moving and not moving. wha ts the best way to check for intake leaks? i dont hear air being sucked in from anywhere else when i blocked the carb and stalled it, it sucked my hand until it stalled

It is an exhaust issue.

You don't have baffles...so, you don't have back-pressure...you will loose performance...but you can still make it fun to ride...lots of people do it. However, getting some back-pressure will help it light-up. I've run with and without...I prefer the throttle response of 'with baffles' greater than the sound of without. (or put cones in the headers)

I would still put a timing light on it before you start trying to jet it. 1/16th of an inch out of adjustment on your timing is lots of degrees out on the motor...even enough to put the fuel out the pipes before the plugs fire when you give it.

A .032 on a stroker doesn't seem out of line to me...a .068 sounds a little lean for a stroker...without baffles...they may both be low...but I don't know the super E well enough to have a valid opinion.

stupid user name: follow this link---I have great respect for all three who replied

http://community.jpcycles.com/forums/t/46507.aspx

Your accel pump you said was misting---that sounds like the place to start
a 'squirt' should be there.

intake leaks can be detected in a running motor by spraying WD40 around the intake manifold connections and listen for a change in the idle
