You HAVE to have the top motor mount lined up and shimmed just right otherwise you'll either break the mount or break the damn frame (this happened to me on my rigid). loosen the four lower bolts and make sure none of the bolts are bound up. If you have to force any of the bolts through that means something ain't lined up right and you may have to open up the holes in the frame to get the motor sitting square. Tighten them down once you're satisfied (do all this with the top mount off). Then install the top mount to the heads first and tighten it down. After this check the gap between the mount and the frame mount where it bolts. Shim as necessary so once you tighten it down it doesn't pull either the mount or the frame when you're cinching it down.

As far as the oil leak goes, where is it coming from?

Bit more on what Rowdy has posted...

Remove your inner primary components. Loosen motor mount bolts. Tighten rear bolts to specs. Use a feeler gauge and check for gaps under your front engine to frame mount area. If there is a gap buy some brass shim stock to correct the difference (yes I have used aluminum beer cans as shim stock but it was/is not the best because of how soft it is).

Once you have the front and rear to specs, then tighten the top motor mount to the top of the heads. And as mentioned measure the gap and add washers as necessary to eliminate the gap.

And a bit more. Since you have realigned the motor now it the time to ensure your tranny is properly aligned. Add inner primary and tighten to the motor. Loosen the 5 mounting bolts for the tranny. Secure the inner primary and tranny and check for any gaps (tranny to frame) with a feeler gauge. Probably will be none, but for me it is sort of knowing that it is aligned properly and that all is running true and straight.

As far as eliminating leaks....need a bit mor about exactly where the leaks are coming from.

Rowdy....nice looking scoot!

I concur with Panz. Sometimes I forget that most bikes have a bunch of extra parts that I don't.

Thanks for the compliment, I like it.

And one more thing to add to what Panz and Rowdy were saying: IF, after you tighten down the inner primary and have your five tranny bolts loose, you find that there is a gap between the tranny and any of the mounting areas, make sure you fill that gap before tightening. I keep an old set of feeler guages around for this. I find the feeler guage that fits the gap, cut a small piece off with metal shears, stick it in the gap (or both sides of the studd if needed) and then tighten down to spec.

Hope this makes sense, but it's something that needs to be done on both the motor and tranny but a lot of guys forget (which causes issues down the road - especially if ridden hard).
