Default what did I jack up?

I just got my 68 FL back from the shop. I had new piston put in, bored to .060 over to clean up heads, primary sealed, new transmission seal put in, and some other stuff.

I am trying to break the bike in. It has 40 miles since the rebuild.

** I rode the bike about 10 miles to a friends house. I had no problems. I washed the bike using a garden hose with a spray nozzle. I sprayed some degreaser on the under carriage trying to break up the grime in order to find a leak.

***after washing my bike, the clutch lever is sticking. When I release the lever, it does not snap all the way out. The clutch stays engaged. I pushed the lever back out and the clutch disengaged. What did I screw up?

What can I do to fix it?

my bike is a 4 speed with kick and electric start. I was told my transmission is from 1980.

TwiZted, I have heard different things about what to use to lube the cable, and how to accomplish it. The cable is nothing fancy, I think it's basic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I had a friend who rides tell me to take it off, coil it up, and soak it in standard 20-50 wt oil.

That's one way only problem is if don't let it hang overnight and drain it'll make a hell of a mess all the bike as it does . I use a dry slide cable lube alcohol based with lots of graphite in it , do all my cables at least twice a year with it real runny and no mess when the alcohol flashes off ended my cable problems when I started using it . Yours just to get you rolling good old 3-1 oil will work , loosen it up and put a few drops on the cable and let them work down into it then a few more . Work the cable back and forth a bit in the housing as you do you'll feel it loosen up .
