Hold on, cowboy. Don't jump off the deep end. Do some simple diagnostics. Clean or change the plugs. Check the ignition, to include the coil and plug wires. The front not firing but the rear is is generally a ignition problem. Are you running points or electronics? Just take your time and think it out. Sometimes walking away and coming back in a hour or so with a clear mind helps alot.
Thank you , thank you , thank you ............. Everybody goes off on big hard parts and tearing crap apart without ever looking at the simple small things that end up being the real problen more times than not . I can't count the bike's I've seen that owner swore needed a rebuild that turned out be something stupid simple like a junked timing advance unit .
Always start with the basics like wire's , good plugs gaped right , getting good spark to both holes ?, ignition and all the hard parts , leaks , look in the plug hole with the pistons at top pistons oily or dull black ? Feel the pipe ends is it just soot or oily feeling ? . Do a leak down test , do you here air blowing and is so where from ? the carb , the pipes or the crank breather ? .
Take you a couple hours and you'll have your answer and lot fewer headaches with guessing games with arm mechanics not seeing the bike and getting wrong advice that will cost you .
