I bought a kick start kit for my 74 FLH and began tearing it down last night. We'll, didn't take long to come to my first problem. how do I get the nut off the mainshaft? every time I put a wrench to it and turn, the mainshaft turns with it. is that because the bike is in neutral?
also, there are no instructions whatsoever with this kit. anyone know of a link or anything where there might be some instructions? I do have a service manual and the diagram is pretty good but it really doesn't go into much detail. I'm basically doing this by the diagram alone.
