Got some good busy work done last night. Here is the stock rear blinker bar.

Got the guts into the used later model bar and tested the lights before I installed

Had to open up the mounting holes in the fender from 1/4" to accept the newer style bar's 5/16" bolts. Mounted right up and made a ground wire for the new blinkers, which I grounded to the 5/16" mounting bolt. Wired them up and tucked the wires up behind it as best I could. Changed a couple bulbs, cleaned a few sockets, and applied some dielectric grease. All lights on the bike now work and light up nice and bright. Blinkers and hazards flash...

This the chain tensioner position when I got the bike. Chain was still slack.

So I loosened the axle and slide the tire fully forward in the axle slots to see what I had and how much I could take off

I ended up taking off one link and then tensioned the chain properly. The axle now sits just forward of center in its slot.

Next up I tore into the nacelle and swapped out the worn rubber bushings for some polyurethane ones...

Changed out the speedo mounting rubbers and called it a night. Ignition will be here today, so tonight I will be installing it and the coil along with a new battery in its cover and hopefully firing up the bike.

ALSO GET RID OF THAT 10" DISC AND UP GRADE TO THE 11.5 -- NOTICE THE BRACKET -- SUPER STOPPING POWER -- I WOULD GET A NEW CALIPER AS THE OLD ONES TEND TO BE OLD JUNK --

MOze.....the rear sigs look good. I had the mongo wide alumy one on mine...found a 2" shorter chrome one at a swap meet. Was also from later model, so narrower mounting...had to "move" the holes in the rear fender a bit. Didn't like the lens of the newer model, so took lens off of sigs to put on new. Holy cow did I curse for the whole 30 minutes it too to remount each lens with that top allen screw. Wasn't meant for replacing..LOL.

Gotta keep double looking at your shocks...not used to seeing open spring shocks on an FLH. Kinda looks good.
