What a great bike and I am sorry you got it that way but that is the way it works. I will follow this thread and check your progress. I love these old glides and can't wait to see it rolling down the road. Let me know how you like the white pogo seat, l love those. If it were mine, I would not do to much. No need for a shiny carb or for it to be to polished. It has a petina on it and it should not look new, just clean and original. Just my .02.

Those Tilotson carbs were not the easiest to set up even when new. But with the parts and manuals you should be able to do it. If that fails you could get an early model bendix carb that used the push cable, I believe the push cable was last used in 72. Great looking bike. Good luck with it.
