The brake engages in either direction. The reason I ask is I can't find an anchor arm the length I need. The old frontends anchor mount is 3" from the rocker hole and this one is 6". I've shopped all over the net with no results yet. I'm not even sure of the brand name. They both are similar in appearance. I am not a metal fabricator, although it shouldn't be that hard. Just a matter of proper hole sizes.
