It isn't quite plug and play yet, but we are working on getting the right connectors to make that happen in the future.

There are 2 options for hooking it up to a Harley Davidson. 1) In-line with the brake lights. 2) With an add-on set of lights.

1) If hooking it in-line with the brake lights there are 4 wires to connect. Power wire needs to connect to a 12v switched power source, like the running lights. Ground wire connects to the chassis. The other 2 wires are brake wire input and output and wires up just like a standard brake lamp flasher.

2) If hooking it up with add-on lights you will only need to connect 3 wires. Power to a switched power source, ground, and the output wire going to the + wire of your add-on lights.

As touched on above, most H-D riders desire a plug and play device. The single brake light bikes and pretty easy, but the FLHX and similar models which use 2 tailights for run/brake/turn might be a little fiddly for you to incorporate into factory wiring

It is not the same as you guys that have put flashers inline with your brake lights. For those to work you have to actually apply the brake. This product sense that the bike is slowing and automatically flashes the brake light without touching the brakes. Great questions! The short answer is that you won't need to use another flasher with the GearBrake Module. The module will flash for 2 seconds anytime you are engine braking, downshifting or braking. I would suggest removing any other flashers and installing this in its place.

The bike in the video had the module spliced onto the brake wire and not in-line with the brake wire as suggested. Therefore the solid brake indication overrides the flashing pattern. (we are currently working on an updated video to better illustrate.)

We don't currently offer customized flashes, but I LOVE the idea! We will keep that in mind for the future.

Thanks for the questions. The module will flash the brake lights anytime you are engine braking, downshifting or braking. If you are stopped at a light and pull the brake lever, it will flash for 2 seconds and then solid for as long as you hold it. The GearBrake module would fully replace the Kisan module you have currently. This will give you flashing brake lights for compression and actual braking.
