I've had friends leave their tailgate down on their pickup truck so that when on toll roads the camera can't get a picture of their license plate. Just curious if the plate location on the new Rushmore touring bikes would also make it impossible for toll road cameras to capture your plate when they take a picture. Anyone out there who pays the extra fee to simply pay their tolls when their license is captured by the camera can possibly answer this question????

I've heard from a friend who has a tour pack that it covers it up from cameras on sg it's wide open
ive often wondered about that. I guess it all depends on camera placement and angle, in Illinois we have "open road" tolling and cameras are overhead, don't think the get a shot of the plate. I know the speed and red light cameras don't get a clear view and those are higher up also, don't ask how I know.....:-)
They get mine only very seldom, all the guys in my club that own ultra's never get tagged by the cameras.
All of us have toll by plate and we use the toll roads quite often.
I have a SGS with a tourpak
I've noticed a number of vehicle plates at work where the reflectivity on the plate has been altered perhaps chemically or abrasive. In the daylight you can't notice anything, looks just like any other plate. Shine light on it and the plate number becomes an illegible blob.
I was thinking this is to defeat the cameras at tolls?
I travel to Texas often to visit my son and the toll camera's have yet to catch my tag. I had an '11 Road Glide Ultra and now have a '16 RGU Rushmore. My Texas friends a few years ago joked my toll bill would be waiting for me when I got home, I've yet to see it :-D
