I've got a '15 Street Bob and I've seen light bars like this on bikes and want to figure out how to do it. Who's done one and how'd you do it? What size? Is a load equalizer req'd? A separate switch for day/night riding? Etc...
I ran similar and had separate relay and switch on the bars used the harness that came with it - cant recall the brand but you need to pull power from high beam only

My buddy did one on his street Bob. He added a extra switch on the dash to turn it on and off. He removed the stud in the center of the mounting bracket and enlarged the hole and mounted it under the headlight using the headlight bolt. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/131779839263

I would put it on its own switch due to legal issues mentioned above. Even if you find one DOT legal like a fog light I'm pretty sure here in Texas you can only run fog lights with low beams.
You can avoid the extra switch if you T off the high beam wire to fire a relay. You could probably even get by without a relay depending on how much current your particular light draws, but personally I wouldn't. You can get relays small enough to hide almost anywhere.
First I completely support modifying one's bike however they see fit
I only offer up this up as something to research/ consider
Is the light bar you're considering categorized as an off road light
If so, are off road lights legal to run on the street / hwy in your area
Are you subject to annual bike inspections.., if so.., would / will this light pass
Just some things to consider before spending money / time / effort - only to discover it was for naught

thanks for the suggestions. Luckily in Cali, even with ALL the restrictions we have on bikes and autos, we don't have annual bike inspections. And believe me, I definately do my research. One of the main reason's I joined this forum.
