Default Help please with the wobble issue

Dear All,

I shall be with pride collecting my 2016 Road King this coming Friday.

I have read numerous forums and posts and I'm still some what confused.

My confusion is has HD cured the issue with the 2014 Rushmore models? at present I'm inclined to add a True-Track stabiliser for the added insurance.

Regards

Steve

Don't know why you would consider wasting your money until you encounter a problem. If you have a wobble problem with a Rushmore bike, you probably have the bike overloaded, a tire problem or just plain riding bike through corners to fast.JMHO

Thanks for the advice, there a numerous threads and I'm leaning towards it may be a combination of any one of the following, speed, weight distribution, condition of the highway, etc.

Then again they do say "Better safe than sorry"

Thanks

Steve

Steve, welcome. I have a tad under 30,000 miles on my 14 Road king. I ride to work alot and take multiple two up road trip vacations each year. My go to speed is 80 mph. My bike with me and wife on it have been through about it all and it has never ever been anything but a great companion. Enjoy your Road King, its a great bike.

How did you fix it? Mine wobbles like a fatgirl on the dance floor. Although need some new tires, just ordered a couple and going see how they help. Do you know anything about the Alloy Art stablizer

I have a chassis stabilizer on my 98 road king and it is rocksolid. I rode a friend's 2005 Road King and had a serious wobble going into a fast right-hand corner. This problem was addressed with the 2009 chassis upgrade. If your bike is older than 2009, I would definitely get some form of chassis stabilizer or brace. Newer bikes seem to have terrible suspension in the rear with air shocks, but otherwise are much improved. My 16 street glide didn't wobble with the stock air shocks, and is rock super solid with the Ohlins rear. Best advice as was mentioned is just try it.
