i drilled a hole in the back of the pod, through the crash bar, ran the wires internal to the crash bar, popped a hole at the top of the crash bar where it attaches to the frame just below the beck, ran wires into fairing from there.

Same same.....Procured the CVO pods- painted , to match painted fairing, then used CVO speakers grills...Very clean look. Sounds awesome too. Good luck.

I'm gonna hop on this topic cuz my question is somewhat similar. Thinking about adding lowers/speaker pods to my FLHT. Also will likely run them in-line with my batwing speakers off my BT4180. Question comes down to: Are these speakers noticeable re: sound output in their location? Thinking any forward firing is good. Thoughts? Thx

Yes, I'd like to know this as well. I'm starting with the fairing and saddlebag speakers with my BT4180 this week, but am thinking of adding these to my lowers.

OMG yes....So far no need for rear pods or lids speaks since the fairing and lowers installed. Lima Charlie.....LOUD and Clear.....The wife unit says it good to go and says it's way loud for her. Good luck.
