Has anyone been able to do a update to there radio the 6.5 boom audio with a cell phone?? 1.20.1 came out a few days ago.. My cell phone downloaded it but I had no luck getting it to load anyone?
I never thought of trying a phone. A few things going against you are the ISO needs to be at the root directory, which may be hard depending on your phone. Also, at that stage of the boot-up I think it may need the FAT file system...
When you plug the phone into the bike, does the phone give you connection options? Or perhaps in settings>connections>???? on the phone? If you can tell the phone to connect specifically as a USB device it might work.
I'm just guessing here, as I don't have a rushmore bike so no USB software updates for me.
I don't think you can. The instructions say use a usb drive.
I'm not sure about this update, but I do know that there are USB drives that you can connect to your phone (Android) AND a standard USB port. I have one, and use it all the time. We'll, I actually have several.
So, this would enable you to use your phone to download the update, then pop the drive into the bike and let it do. . . whatever it is that it does.
