Another just for perspective. The OP and I have the same bike and it looks like it took one shim to get things aligned...pretty stumped.

Those are two different calipers. Several differences beyond just the mounting boss length. Looks like you got the wrong one(s).

Major fail...maybe I can do a decent sized metal spacer and hit it with some black.

If you can move this "different" caliper into "Operatational" position (ie. the pads are fully within the rotor's O.D.), then you should be able to use some spacers.

How's the rotor to caliper alignment look (horizontal)?

Alignment is good, just need to space it out. Gonna try to run it I suppose....frustrating.

you haven't gotten this done yet? it's been [ some meaningless, arbitrary amount time ]. i did this on 2 bikes in an hour.... just three wires.

I hate to say it, but it looks like your calipers are from a year/model that was different... Without really being able to see everything in person, my thoughts are that you either need to have some spacers made, or head back to eBay...

Unfortunately, I can't tell you exactly what my calipers came from... I was told a GSXR 750. I got them years ago for a project on my Triumph that I never ended up doing, so I just found them in my garage when I decided to put them on the Dyna. Here's the best picture of mine I could find while sitting here at work...

Good luck. I'm sure it's frustrating!

Want to shoot myself...

Does the left fork or left side of the wheel have different dimensions than the right fork or right side of the wheel? The left side is perfect, but I used the same spacers and shims on the right side and it rubs. What, the heck...
