Motoillumination Gen2, the best $180 I've ever spent on my bike. The day maker styled lights will have a batwing shaped pattern with a dead spot. Anything is better than a stock HD light.
It is brighter and has a better light pattern than the real Daymaker. (At 1/8 the price.)
To be fair, I've only had the one from Amazon about three weeks or so, but I have no regrets about buying it. So far, as noted, it is straight up better.
Best of luck!
Edited to add: The "straight up better" comment is an "eyeball guage" for me. I don't know the differences in the numbers/specs. It just LOOKS better.
I bought one of these, but in silver, as did a couple of guys that I ride with. I've had mine about 3 months, and it works great and is very bright (and you can't beat the price).
I bought the Wiipro 45w 9piece LED light on Amazon for under $80 for my Sportster. It of course has the same dinky little light housing the Dyna's have. I'll tell you this, the little light throws quite a bit of very white light out in front of the bike. I've had it for many months now and can't say a bad thing about it, and it flat out destroys the factory piece of junk.
I purchased the latest JW Speaker model. I got the model without the "adaptive" feature as I don't ride the twisties at night. It looks exactly the same as the more expensive "adaptive" model, only the side lights don't work. It got it with it's own bucket which has a nice heat sink built in to keep it cool. Best improvement I made so far. It very much brighter than stock. Beam pattern is perfect, has great cut off so you don't blind the person in front of you. I thinks it probably the best headlight on the market, although it is a bit pricey.
I have some real world experience with a couple of setups...
First one on my Street Bob, great output and beam compared to the other cheap led's out there...
Lastly is this one I have in my Street Glide, nice and bright but the pattern sucks plain and simple, weird three halo on low beam and the bright covers the same area...
