Wednesday, last day in Michigan. My original plan was to do a loop down to Mackinaw and along the Lake Michigan coast with a few planned sites to check out. The weather forecast had turned bad calling for bad storms and upon checking the radar there were 2 strong lines of storms moving in from the west in the Copper Harbor area. (They later dissipated and never rained a drop in the eastern area.) Preferring not to get caught far away in those and since we missed the Painted Rocks overlook, I decided we would have a more leisurely day and go take the Pictured Rocks boat tour plus I still hadn't had a Pasty!!!!! I had spied an interesting looking pasty joint in Munising already lol. We hopped on the bikes and pulled into the boat ride place. Went in to check on departure times and as luck would have it the next boat was leaving in 18 minutes and still had 3 tickets available. Hell yeah this was great!!!!! Just enough time to go pee and get on the boat!!!!
I have about 500 more pics and 2 hours video of the entire ride lol. think I might **** off a mod posting all that????????:icon_lo l:

I don't know if these kayakers paddle out or if there is a mother ship somewhere (never saw one) but by the time we got back to dock the wind was blowing a good 30mph!!! Our Captain was awesome and had piloted this boat for 22 years. The wind slammed that big sail of a boat sideways into the dock while docking. I can't imagine being on Superior in a kayak in that kind of wind. I've been boating myself since age 8. There were hundreds of kayaks out all along the cliffs!!!!
Also NOTE!!! Anyone ever planning one of these try to get on the right (starboard) side of the boat. They take you out and the right side gets the view first with all the info and spill that goes with it. They then turn the boat around and the left side gets the view on the return but not all the info and history.

The Harley Museum opens at 9 and we leave in time to arrive there about 9:30 am. We pull in and the place is already packed with bikes and cars. Later find out they have a Bike Night there on Thursdays and apparently it's a big event!!! Anyway we have about 2 hours to spend and still get home in time to pick up our dogs at our daughters home before it's too late at night. Museum is worth the price of admission (free to HOG members) but I wish I had 2 days instead of 2 hours. They encourage people to take pictures and that's basically what I spent 2 hours running like a madman snapping everything I could so I could look and study closer once I get settled here at home lol. Came home with over 800 pictures of the place and my IPhone 7 did a really good job compared to my point and shoot Canon.
I want this wall!!!!<br/>

Appropriate trailered bike pic LMAO
Where it all started!!!!
Use to have these at a local golf course I played at. They were really fun carts!!!
We left the museum and headed home. We managed to hit St Louis right a 5pm rush hour and I knew that was not good. An exit we needed to take was 2 lanes and backed up over a mile and a half. I didn't even realize it was our exit until way to late and GPS said turn right!!! Not happening!!!! I said screw it let GPS re-route us. You never know what you'll get to see when traveling with me and this was actually my first also since I quit following MLB when they went on strike back in the 80's.
Made it back to my daughters home to pick up the pooches and no mechanical issues the whole trip. Was concerned about my little tilt trailer with the small tires and bearings making this trip but all survived and most of the time I stayed under 75 mph. Was impressed with my old truck because the last time I got 17 mpg was in 2004 going to Daytona. Ever since it has done good to get 12 empty. This trip it was loaded with well over 2,000 lbs of bikes, trailer, gear, and passenger and still managed a whopping 18.84 mpg!!!!! I'm guessing gas up north is a much different blend than our crap southern gasoline.
All in all it was an AWESOME trip!!!! Didn't accomplish 100% I had planned and the same happened the first time we went to Sturgis. Gave us reason to go back the next year and I can see it happening this time also especially since Michigan gives us a break from the heat. Get home and temps are mid to upper 90's with 80-100% humidity for the foreseeable future ugggghhhhhh!!!! It's just too hot to get the 2200 miles of bugs off the front of my truck

As I get time to go through the hours of video I have I will do some screen captures and pull off some more interesting pics. One of my main reasons for videoing everything now since the Gopros do fantastic jobs. Actually much much clearer than what you see online on sites like YT since they heavily compress the files.
