I took my stock seat to car upholstery shop. Told them what I wanted. They replaced stock foam which is junk. Also put gel pads where I wanted padding. It didn't change the look but much more comfortable. Cost me under $100

Have you looked into a sick saddle seat. That's the seat I have on the wide glide and it's a really comfortable seat. I also have the HD brawler, for some reason I just can't get used to it. I'd like to try the bare bones seat just to sit lower on the bike. Brawler is the 1st pic, sick saddle is the 2nd

Get yourself a rear Cherokee or a bmc wall. Then you will be sitting in the bike

here is a video on the cherokee

So here it is... Seats!! ... specifically Solo Seats...

I'm bleeding money over here and have not yet found what I am looking for...

Lets face it the stock seat sucks... (I think a 2x4 with a paper towel wrapped around it would be an improvement)

So here is what I have purchased and NOT liked so far...

First off, yes what it looks like matters!!! Don't kid yourself... These are Wide Glides...

#1 Seat: Mustang Regal Duke... $232
Not a bad looking seat (that chopper look) but it put me 2" higher and 2" forward... Awkward So i returned it...
cost to return $47

#2 Harley Davidson Sundowner Solo $249
This thing is gross looking when on the bike... All the added padding is in the front of the seat... Huge and Bulbous... I need padding for my A## not on my D---!
This one is NOW on eBay for sale for $200 plus shipping...

#3 I just ordered the Mustang Classic $229
Awaiting its arrival...

I want to sit "IN" the bike not on top of it... It's why I bought a Wide Glide to begin with...

There simply is not enough pictures of seats from you gentlemen for me to make a good decision and I don't think the wife is happy with all these seats/money flowing out of our house...

I am enclosing the photos I have taken of the stock seat and the Regal Duke...

I did not take a photo of the Sundowner as I couldn't wait to remove the damn ugly POS...

Frustrated boys and your help would be appreciated!!!

Or should I just suck it up and keep the stock seat?

Thank you

Default LePera Daytona?

I have a LePera Daytona "Daddy Long Legs" with gel I'm about to sell once my Lucky Daves arrives.

It's a cool looking seat. Sits you back 2" from stock, right about the comfort limit of my 32" inseam. It would be perfect for a 34" inseam.

It's a bit too narrow for my weight and bony butt at 10.5". It would be perfect for a tall skinny person. I start to squirm after about an hour.

The back has enough padding for a kid/grandkid.

Here's a Low Rider-S seat on my 15 Wide Glide. I'm happy with it and it was cheap to buy second hand.

Have you considered the Mustang Fastback? I have done 400 mile trips with no problems. When I first installed it I felt like I was sitting a tad higher than stock but after about 500 miles or so, it broke right in and I love it.

I want to thank everyone for some great feedback and I feel like such a Sh-t for not following up sooner...

I ended up going with the Mustang Vintage Solo seat... I LOVE IT...

Wife and I Rode down to Maggie Valley and back... 1400 miles in 4 days.
We also took them to Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama...

In last 4 months we have logged 5000 miles at least...

I am loving this seat... It fits a bit different than the stock seat and has some additional size to it but it looks better than the Sundowner did...

Once again thank you for your feedback I was looking I just didn't get a chance to respond with all the riding HA HA
