Thanks for sharing this! I'm dying to change the pullback risers. Looking forward to the final parts list.

Has anyone tried using the same bracket with a straight riser? I realize it will be facing more upwards but I'm not sure if it will have enough clearance from the tank. I like the position of the stock speedo its not sticking out like a sore thumb and is easily in the line of sight. Ideally I'd like to have the shortest riser possible. I want to add some RSD 16" apes.

The pullback riser is pushing the speedo over the tank but not sure if there is a straight short riser out there that will allow enough clearance between the bottom of the speedo and the front of the tank and still mount to the factory speedo.

Thanks for any replies!

The old customs had a straight riser but I think the speedo mount was different. I did end up doing this and posting a guide though: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...nd-photos.html

Looking forward to the final list as well. Looking at doing mini apes on 2in. risers. :-)

Didn't think that i needed that many parts, but glad to have a list before i even get started. Cuts out all the "Oh bother, i'm gonna need this too" every few days, making an otherwise hourly job take weeks or months waiting on HD's shipping times. cheers yo.

Custom speedo housing for reference:

Edit: I'm almost positive it doesn't fit.
Edit again: It for sure don't fit. Looks like the jewel part number is 68551-95 for the newer mount but that is showing up as obsolete in all the online stores as well...
Edit one last time I hope:

So it looks like the whole housing is:
68513-95 - Black bezel housing
68551-95 - Jewel (aka strip that has the symbols on it)

It seems difficult/impossible to find these online though.
For what it's worth I just got the black plastic bezel from New Castle HD. Now it goes by part # 68513-07B

I never cheked the parts number, but I went from my "C" riser to a "72" speedo mount, had to buy a new led (idiot lights) bar, two short kidney risers, all this being bought second hand.

As for now, I installed "Road King" bars, much much more comfy on the long haul:
