I always wear gloves when riding and if my wife is riding as a passenger she is also wearing gloves.

I always wear gloves. Friend, who always wears also, was headed to Sturgis three years ago. Bought, for the first time some fingerless for the trip. Ended up nailing a deer on I-90 in Montana. His only injuries were the exposed fingers. Chewed them up pretty good. I think they went in the trash after that. His belief is that full gloves would have likely kept him injury free.

Always with gloves, keeps the oils and sweat from the grips and hopefully some skin in place if/when I go down.

Am I the only one who n has this sensation? Or anyone else notice this?
For various reasons I wear gloves every time that I ride so I've gotten used to it, so no problem here.

I don't ride without gloves, even on the hottest day. As for winter, I still use my deerskin summer gloves but add liners inside. I've tried a few winter/insulated gloves and do not like the feeling. I feel disconnected from the bike.

I am working on getting handlebar shields as some suggested here on a previous post to make it even more comfortable.

I could count on one hand, (no pun intended), the number of times I've ridden without gloves over the years. And those would be VERY short rides. I feel nekked without them.

I always ride with gloves as well. Warm weather it is fingerless and I have gel palms which are great. Cold weather is when I don't like gloves. Like the OP, thicker gloves take away from the feel of the ride. I have some heated gloves that I really like just not clutching and braking. My fingers feel stiff like and not as flexible as not wearing gloves. The pair I have that is a HD gauntlet style is better but still not on the mark.
I need a really thin insulated glove that allows me the "feel" of the bike when I ride.

Since I wear gloves for the possible crash as well as warmth, I always wear them and always full fingered. And not the silly gardening ones.

Always wear gloves, depends on the weather as to how thick they have to be.
