Mischlers HD Beaver Dam WI. 62 years there is closing. Mischler's has always been an honest and easy dealership to do business with . I know I have been with them a long time. They have gone out of their way for me and always gave me value for every dime spent there.
The only reason I stayed on Harley was because of them. If it had not been for them other BS with in Harley would have driven me away. There is not one negative thing I can say about that dealership on anyone that worked there. They did not just bolt on parts. They could do it all.
This marks an end for our house hold . Mishler's HD has been a part of our life. I own 3 Harley's and will keep them . I will not buy another New Harley. Funny wife and I were just talking about that today. Looks like the next new own will be a BMW.
Some darn good people will be looking for new shops to work at. If those worker go INDY. I will be the first one in the door.
I know they had been reducing inventory . Stopping in tomorrow and see if they have a BMW that will fit my needs.
To the HD CEO . No it aint all about you . You sold us the last bike.

Sad. Two of the best Wisconsin Harley dealers closed. Mischlers and Al Muths in Black River Falls. Al Muth had a warehouse of old parts. The new corporate stores dont care about your old bike.
How did a bunch of people that hate Harleys and Harley riders, become the top management of the company? Crazy.

Mischler's would work on 1939 and newer. Lot of skill and knowledge is going to be lost. I will keep my old EVO going. The two sidecar rigs for Payton I will keep but my next bike will not be HD.
I live less than 10 minutes from Mischlers. I've only ever heard good things about them. Sucks for the employees losing their jobs and the customers that were treated well.
Perhaps I had the displeasure of coming on their bad days, but not once did I have any employee give me the time of day to talk about bikes, combined with getting bad advice about the type of air filters used on SE intakes (was told they're dry filters, didn't need to be cleaned, etc)..
Needless to say, Harley Davidson of Madison got my business and sold me a $30k bike.

Was wondering how long before we started to see our WI dealerships closing.
Hd has been making it hard on smaller dealers for some time . Each year stepping up the pressure. It finally came to a point it was not worth it. Stopping in there today. To look over the BMW inventory.
This was a dual line dealership with both HD and BMW as I understand it. So my question is this closing more about economics brought on by decreased sales and then the impact of covid. The OP seems to be laying the blame on HD corporate, if that were the case would the dealership not keep going with their BMW line?
This threaed would seem to be about another BMW dealer closing just as much as another HD dealer closing
