Default Cheap ways to customise my bike

Hi I have a 2006 883r in black, i would really like to start to take my bike away from the stock look but would need to do this on a low budget. I was wondering if anybody could tell me of some cheap ways to acheive a new look for my bike.

I hear you brother, I'm in the same boat. One of the best and cheapest mods I have made is relocating the speedo. I bought an Autometer 3209 form Summit Racing for like $12 bucks plus a couple for shipping. I spray painted it black and then wrapped the dummy lights in electrical tape and 3m taped them to the handlebar bracket. So far so good. It's a simple mod that helps you achieve that custom look without breaking the bank.

Hope that helps some!!!

I always start with removal. Take off all the unnecessary garbage and everything that's ugly. Now, decide what you want your bike to look like, and start moving toward that. If you like looking at the engine, wire tuck is free/cheap. Speedo relocate is cheap (about $40 total - $13 for the AutoMeter bracket, $25 for plain Dog bone clamp at HD), too. High Temp spray paint can be cheap, and allows you to customize the color scheme of things like the engine, exhaust, and wheels.

Most of the mods i did on my bike cost very little,it depends on your imagination and ingenuity.
Tank lift you can do for under $10,
speedo and coil relocate for less.
Removing long stems from rear indicators nothing...
...covering steering bolt and swing arm bolt heads with absolute vodka caps Nothing(it costs you to buy the bottle of vodka)
Rerouting clutch cable nothing.
covering header bolts with chrome dome heads a couple of bucks.
Headlight lift cost me a couple of bucks in nuts and bolts.
Fun and personal satisfaction doing it Priceless.
PM me if you need more detailed how-to's.H

Put 10k mile on it with out washing it. You get that Mad Max look for a grand total of.... Free! On a seroius note, you ned to first figure out the look you are going for. That way you don't waste any money on a tight budget. With your bike, I think they look would look cool with an Orange tank and some checked flag graphic down the side. They look kind of like a race bike that way.

Depends on what direction you want to go with the bike honestly.
Little things like removing the front fender and belt cover make it look different, then add in seats or pipes & AC but then you move to paint and bars and it get addicting, lol
