Im looking to charge my medistrom battery while Im riding that will power my cpap machine while i camp....I want switch power to not drain the bikes battery...Im looking to get a data link wiring harnass that either has an inverter to ac power inline or an adapter that will plug into an inverter and charge my external battery pack...
I already have a battery pack for the cpap, Im trying to figure a way to charge it while im riding...I read the data link where techs plug in for diagnostics is switch power, so i want to use that but looking for wiring harnass that has a universal plug to fit into my cpap battery..

Sorry, but connecting something to the data buss that controls the engine and using it as a charging point, is a really bad idea. There are other key on power sources on the bike that wont kill it ,in the event of an issue with whatever it is you are trying to charge.
i did some research, good point to stay away from data link plug....I found a 2 pin purple and black wired plug under the right side cover....purple being switch plug...Im going with part# 69201599A electrical connection update kit...Ill connect the hotwire to the battery, remove dummy pin from plug and insert pin into this plug...now that i have 3 wires and the hd lighter plug is a sae connector with only 2 wires....
how do i connect the 3 wire plug to the 2 wire sae plug????
thnx again for the help...electrical not my strong suit
